Car was not ready for pickup on time. Staff are violated company policy. They sent by email policy. At the counter on pickup they told me that they going to charge me $500 instead of $200 against policy. They going to charge you for tolls with additional fee. They double charge me for rental time once in cash and once by card. Supervisor at office and staff are uneducated and not helpful. At the end they just charged my card for $200 for little scratch and didn’t provide me any invoices. Save your money and time don’t business with them.

Loved renting a car from Ace. The car was in mint condition and it was quick and easy. The car seemed like it was maintained well because the ride was super smooth. Made me want to purchase the car. The customer service given by the staff, namely Shakhzoda was very warm and welcoming. Will definitely be back again!

I’m not really into the whole online reviewing thing, but I rented with this company/location about 3 or 4 times. They are absolutely amazing. Every employee I’ve ever dealt with are helpful, professional, and so nice. Customer service is top notch every time.

I have been dealing with all the rent a car agencies in the whole USA over the past 5 years and I truly appreciate the service that was provided to me by this company. I got the brand new car for a rent and got the safe insurance for that car. I made a big damage for the car, and with provided insurance it was solved with only one paper , with no any hustlers. Good prices and deals but really bad customer service. They ask if I was drunk 9:30am in the morning and I was looking able to drive. They ruin my day by searching for another place to rent a car for my vacation. I'm a person with 2 kids,first I felt so offended. Also they were talking to a different language and who know what they were saying about me. I'm not renting again from them.

Be careful of these guys! They can promise you to charge one amount per day for extra zone before you take a car and finally charge much more! I told them about this they said don’t worry, we’ll fix it and they didn’t! I spent more time to come there and try to fix the problem and they said that’s correct! They didn’t give me paper evidence of our agreement! Newer recommend!!!

I rented a car a week prior. They extended the cars rental for that weekend and did not have any car available. The man was the only one working and was not communicative I ended up waiting 1 hour and 40 mins . I put the rental on an American Express and they wanted to run my credit. I have never rented a car where my credit was run especially if it's on a credit card. This place is very suspect bad policies up price everything and the customer service inside and on the phone was horrible. I would not recommend any one go here.

I am never disappointed whenever I have to rent a car. This is my second time renting a car from this rental company and I am a satisfied customer. No issues. Customer service is excellent. Naj helped me today and even offered me a better deal with a nicer car. So far I am pleased and will always be a customer.

He confirmed that he picked up or took photos and videos of scratches on the car. Answered any questions we had. The pick up and getting the car was great. However I didn't feel like I received the same quality of service at drop off during inspection time. This other rep at drop off didn't explain the process or confirm that there was no damage to the car. He just asked us to sign. We had to double check to make sure that they will not be charging us anything for damages since we had none.

This place just cancelled my Christmas Eve Day reservation because, as they bluntly told me, they'd overbooked with other, longer, more lucrative customers than my two-month old one day reservation. No apologies or recompense offered. Never again.

I was told by the representative to upgrade and was offered a $20 increase to my original reservation cost of $570. I got the vehicle and it smelled like smoke and was offered over the phone an additional 5% discount. I check my credit card statement and now see a charge for $630. I called multiple times and was originally told that I am correct and the amount will be refunded to me but two weeks later still no refund and upon now talking to a manager they are saying that the charge will stay at $630 and all discounts have been applied. This company steals money from you and is completely dishonest. I would suggest you run away and never rent from them. They will steal your money and justify themselves.

Used to be a great little agency. They added a very high fee for driving out of state and do not tell you. Literally never heard of this fee before. They also did a credit check which seems sketchy, I’m using a credit card

The service I received from SARAH was wonderful & she was VERY patient. She waited patiently as I was trying to get my photo to download. She was very helpful in getting me processed. Even though I arrived early for pickup. Through her I was able to upgrade my vehicle as well. She made sure to give me all the details about my Rental. The insurance & tolls. When I returned the vehicle I also Rented a 2nd week by AKMAL. He was Very Nice, patient & thorough. He checked in the rental return & completed without a problem. I also rented a nother week thru him. He Explained why I needed to close the Car rental I had & pick up another. Since I had rebooked for an additional week. He was fast & efficient. Really appreciate the kindness of both employees. Love that I was sent all photos taken of the vehicles. I will definitely recommend Drivo. They have fair Pricing & the vehicles were in great condition.

This company is horrible. Don't rent from her at all. First of they do a credit check when using your credit card. For what??? The car they gave me was inspected properly the inside light did not work. They don't allow you to film the car with them. I got the car at at about 6:30 PM drove it home parked and the next morning the tire pressure light for was. I was using the car to for drop off and pick up of my daughter. I called it said I would have to use road side assistance. Never once did they say I could out air in the tire myself. I was charged 200 dollars for this. They say 3 nails were in the tire but never should proof of the tire before or even after these supposed 3 nails were in it. The 3 other tires read at 31 and that one was reading at 24. I will never rent from them again. They are a scam go else where!! I wish I could give them zero stars. I should have read the reviews... it appears to a race thing.

Scam don’t listen to them they ask $90 fora car But don’t state. The policy that you will need a deposit of $500 on a major card When I realized it thur email I called to have cancel within 20 mins Am still haven’t received refund it is now 3 days later To have agent tell Me its Non refundable Shame on you an you scam tactics You should clearly state the deposit on the billing receipts or prior to booking

STAY AWAY!!!! They are CROOKS! I am contacting BBB because they are performing FRAUD! They charged me for 3 days of insurance when I only had the car 2 days AND I returned the car earlier. Additionally, there’s an “upgrade” charge that was snuck in there without discussion or MY REQUEST!!! I never requested an upgrade and I actually got the same type of car I booked. PLEASE STAY AWAY THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS YOU DO NOT SIGN UP FOR!

AVOID or call ahead to make sure they have a car EVEN IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION! I reserved a car a couple of days ago and spent 45 min plus subway fare going THERE AND BACK HOME FOR NOTHING earlier today only to be informed they didn't have a car. What's the point of someone having a reservation?! The representative was not very apologetic and spent a good several min before even informing me of this. No one called to notify me ahead of time and the company should plan better for issues like this. They MAY have a car for me later this afternoon which means spending another 45 min and transit fare to get there. I was looking forward to renting from this location instead of JFK and very disappointed and angry. Called their customer service on my way home and was offered a measly 10% discount. I would give negative stars if I could and doubt I'll be renting from them again in the future. EDITING TO ADD it's now a few hrs later, almost 3:30pm, and still no word about my car. There's no way (from what I can tell) to contact a specific location, just their main office. The person I just spoke with is supposedly going to contact the location to see what's going on. This is messing up my weekend plans and I have no idea if and when I'll be able to get a car through this disaster of a company.

Drivo Rent a Car initially appears to offer competitive pricing compared to major name-brand companies. However, additional fees and numerous restrictions quickly offset these apparent savings. For example, there are limitations on driving areas within the United States and cars don’t meet requirements for use during a permit test. Additionally, the pre-filled personal information does not simplify the rental experience as one might expect. The insurance package, while fully paid, excludes coverage for tires and windows and is priced higher than comparable offerings from other companies. Moreover, my experience was further diminished by vehicle issues: after an initial 45‐minute wait, the first car provided was not in acceptable condition, necessitating a replacement that took 30 minutes and also failed to meet standards. Other customers behind me experienced similarly lengthy delays during the return process. Based on these issues, I would recommend considering alternative rental options.

Overall good experience. I had to purchase extra insurance to make up full coverage, as it wasn’t very clear from Hopper when I booked and paid for my rental. Thankfully it wasn’t a crazy additional fee.. to me. The agents at Drivo were all courteous and communicated clearly. Nothing was complicated, the price was pretty decent. I can’t complain and I will definitely use Drivo again. Thanks again to Ibrahim who facilitated a quick and painful free return today.

I had a really great experience at Drivo on Coney Island Avenue and will definitely use them again when I need to rent a car. I worked with Azam and Zack in the office and they were so professional and friendly. The location was easy to get to and the car I got was great. I recommend this car rental and will use them again!

Predatory behavior. I rented a car for three days. They said 9.99 for use of their easy pass yet they are charging my credit card for tolls. Why would anyone pay 9.99 a day for use of an easy pass if they still have to pay tolls out of pocket? They said 500 dollars hold for the car when I got to the rental place they said 1000. This was in February of 2025. They charged me 40 dollars in March for tolls and today May 25 2025 is trying to charge my card for another 43 dollars for tolls. Their practices are very deceptive and needs to be investigated. If I could give it no stars I would

Ibrahim was so helpful, car was flawless. Just be warned, they will not accept an Apple Card or a Robinhood Gold card, etc. (the physical numbers must be printed somewhere on the card). It doesn’t matter if you also have the card in Apple Pay or whatever. They wanna see the digits . Really awesome experience though, and close to the Verrazano Bridge
